Linz City Guide
Linz, formerly mostly known as industrial centre, is now emphasising
cultural activities and features a vibrant art scene, theatres,
cinemas, music and diverse events (like annual 'ARS Electronica'
and 'Brucknerfest' festivals). Nibelung bridge spans the Danube
at the very center. At one side of it you can find spectacular music
hall 'Brucknerhaus', prestigious 'Lentos' museum and
main square with 'Dreifaltigkeitssäule' monument. The
other side features new city hall and ARS Electronica center. Design
center is a good location for fairs and business events.
Posthof, 'Landestheater', Phönix theater are other cultural
venues.
It is situated in Upper Austria and surrounded by charming woods
and hills. You can go on a boat trip to Passau or to Vienna.
